Are Amisi products good for oily skin with acne? Most of our products will be completely safe for acneic skin types because we use oils that have a low comedogenic rating, meaning they do not block or clog skin pores, but instead will balance sebum levels and correct over oily skin.

Are Amisi products suitable for sensitive skin? The epidermis, or outermost layer of human skin, is covered and protected by a layer of lipids and sweat known as the acid mantle. The lipid portion of the acid mantle is made up of sebum from sebaceous glands as well as lipids from the stratum corneum (the outermost layer of the epidermis) The sweat of the acid mantle is that secreted by sweat glands. The acid mantle has an acidic ph. The ph. is the measurement of acidity or alkalinity of a body fluid. With a pH between 4 and 6.5, the skin is protected from bacterial and fungal infection as well as water loss. The acid mantle also supports the barrier function of the stratum corneum. If the acid mantle loses its acidity, the skin becomes susceptible to damage and infection as well as irritation and sensitivity. There are several possible causes of sensitive skin such as the weather-excessive heat or cold, harsh chemicals contained in products, skin that is very dry, if you have sensitive skin avoid strong detergents, retinoids or alpha-hydroxy acids. All ingredients used in Amisi are plant based and gentle however some plants can cause allergic reactions such as Mango butter. We provide a full ingredient list and properties of each ingredient on our shop; please check to see if you are allergic to any ingredient we use prior to purchase.

Will Amisi products help my dry skin?Yes definitely! One exceptional way to help maintain the health of the skin is to apply vegetable/herbal/nut/seed oils onto the skin. These oils, along with creams and balms soften and smooth the skin surface, maintain skin’s tone and elasticity, prevent Trans- epidermal water loss and support the lipid barrier, helping the skin to function as it should.

Can I use the oil cleanser to remove makeup?Yes, however try to avoid getting the oil directly in your eyes as it does contain a small % of essential oils, but overall it does remove makeup very well, just follow the instructions as per the website. You may need to do a double cleanse to make sure all makeup is thoroughly removed. This is what Amina Kitching Founder & Editor at Organic Beauty Brands and Safe Cosmetics Australia, The Toxic-Free Campaign had to say about the Five Seeds Cleansing Oil. “Wow this Cleansing Oil is incredible! For me, this is a stand-alone cleanser that is extremely versatile especially for dry skin & those prone to combination skin as it won’t strip your skin while removing grime, it dissolves the bond between your makeup & skin, the oil pulls all of the makeup together & a gentle wipe removes any trace of makeup from the skin. Awesome product! It not only removes eye makeup & foundation effortlessly, but I cleaned my kabuki brush with a facial cleanser & then with Five Seed’s Cleansing Oil – even more product was removed that couldn’t be seen with the naked eye. I had to use a tissue to wipe the oil & excess product off the brushes & then applied some foaming cleanser to remove any traces of the oils.” - Amina Kitching
